Harry Potter nos sigue volviendo loc@s.../ Harry Potter still drives us nuts...

Con un retraso de aproximadamente un año, la película Harry Potter y el Misterio del príncipe se estrenó mundialmente el pasado día 15 de julio.

Dirigida por David Yates, la sexta entrega de la saga sigue la historia de los libros de J.K. Rowling y cuenta la vuelta al Colegio Hogwarts de Harry, y sus mejores amigos Ron y Hermione. Juntos tendrán que hacer frente tanto a los nuevos retos que Lord Voldemort interpondrá en su camino, como a los problemas que surgen cuando se da el paso de niño a adolescente.

Con una espectacular mejoría en los efectos especiales, en la forma de actuar del elenco más joven (Daniel Radcliffe incluido), y por supuesto la participación de grandes actores como Helena Boham-Carter, Jim Broadbent o Alan Rickman entre otros, esta película esta demostrando ser (con una recaudación de casi 160 millones de dólares en apenas cinco días) una de las mejores de la colección.

Sin duda el publico espera con ansia las próximas dos películas que también serán dirigidas por Yates.

With a delay of approximately a year, the movie, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince was finally premiered worldwide this past July 15th.

Directed by David Yates, the sixth part of the saga continues the story of the popular books by J.K. Rowling. Harry and his two best friends, Ron and Hermione, return to Hogwarts where they will not only have to fight against Voldemort’s new threats, but also struggle against their on raging adolescence.

With an spectacular change for the favorable regarding special effects and the acting skills of the youngest part of the cast (including Daniel Radcliffe), and, of course, the participation of great actors like Helena Boham-Carter, Jim Broadbent, or Alan Rickman among others, this movie is proving to be (with a an estimated amount of over 160 million dollar worth on ticket sales) one of the best films of the collection.

Without doubt, the audience will await impatiently the release of the next two films, which will also be directed by Yates.

Como nota personal /As a personal note

Como apunte personal decir que la actuación de Tom Felton como Draco me pareció soberbia. Tanto Rupert Grint (Ron) como Emma Watson (Hermione) han mejorado muchísimo su nivel. Daniel Radcliffe, aún le queda mucho por aprender, pero finalmente parece ser que tiene vida en su interior y muestra algo de expresión en alguna de las escenas.
Sobre los adultos, poco que decir, en general son todos actores consolidados que saben lo que hacen. Aunque, la forma en la que Alan Rickman alarga a veces las frases…en ocasiones se hace un poco cansina, pero, es algo perdonable.
Respecto a las comparaciones con el libro…son odiosas…así que no haré ninguna…pero recomiendo que si aún no os los habéis leído lo hagáis ya, porque la película da por sentado que el público sabe lo que está pasando.

As a personal note, I must say that I thought Tom Felton’s acting was Amazing. Also Rupert Grint (Ron) and Emma Watson (Hermione) have improved tremendously. Daniel Radcliffe, unfortunately, still has a lot to learn. However, he has improves slightly, and after 6 movies we are finally able to see a semblance of expression in him when he acts.
As for the adults, there is little to say. In general, they are all amazing actors with a solid acting career behind them. However, I must admit that the way Alan Rickman (Snape) drags his phrases sometimes becomes a bit tiring.
As for comparisons with the books I’ll make none. Nonetheless, I recommend that if you haven’t read the books yet you do so, for the way Yates structures the movie it seems he assumes that most people know what is going on.
